Services
Lakesides Kids Speech Pathology provides services to Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and surrounds. Alecia is our therapist and can see NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan managed. We provide paediatric speech pathology services to children of all ages including toddlers, pre-schoolers and school aged children. Therapy services can be provided at home, in the community and/or via telehealth on the internet.
Assessment and Intervention Services:
Lakeside Kids Speech Pathology can provide a range of standardised and dynamic assessments to establish goals and provide intervention that is unique to your child’s communication profile. We can treat;
Speech Sound Difficulties – Articulation, phonological delays and disorders
Motor Speech Sound Difficulties – Including Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Literacy difficulties (dyslexia and dysgraphias)
Receptive (comprehension) and Expressive (how we say it) language skills
Fluency (stuttering)
Children with diagnoses – Children presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome
Screening Assessment Services
Lakeside kids Speech Pathology can provide screening assessment services for early education centres and primary schools. Screening assessments identify areas of difficulty in a child’s development in the following areas:

- Literacy
- Pragmatic and social language development
Home Programs
Lakeside Kids Speech Pathology can provide detailed home programs that are individualised for all clients upon request. Home programs are a great idea to increase therapy progress between their regular speech pathology appointments or for those children who have difficulty accessing regular intervention appointments.

Telehealth

Professional Development for Early education and teachers.
Alecia can provide professional development options for early education teachers, classroom teachers and learning support assistants. These opportunities are both evidenced based and practical and can be provided at flexible times. Topic areas can include:
