What can we expect in a session?
Therapy sessions can look a lot like play depending on how old your child is. Kids learn the best when they’re having fun so we aim for sessions to be fun and engaging whilst targeting your child’s needs. Sessions always include a check in to see how the week/fortnight has been, activities that target your child’s unique communication profile and homework until the next session.

Our Goal

Our Goal is to help children improve their communication skills and achieve their full potential. During your childs session, you can expect the following:

1 – Initial Assessment:

Our Speech pathologist will begin by gathering a baseline of your child’s speech and language abilities through formal and dynamic assessments. This will help us understand your child’s strengths and areas of difficulty

2 – Customised therapy plan:

Based on the assessment, our therapist will create a customised treatment plan that is tailored to your child’s unique communication profile. The plan will include clear goals and objectives as well as strategies to achieve them.

3 –  Engaging activities:

Our therapy sessions are designed to be fun and engaging for children. We use games, toys and other activities to keep your child motivated and excited to learn and often our sessions can look like play.

4 –  Parent involvement:

We believe that parent involvement is critical to the success of therapy. We will work closely with you to ensure that you are an active participant in your child’s treatment. We will provide you with strategies and activities to do at home to support your child’s progress.

5 – Progress monitoring:

We will regularly monitor your child’s progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. Our goal is to help your child by empowering them to achieve their communication goals.
